1. Conversations With People
This is probably the most common thing I think about before I finally fall asleep. I am most articulate and witty in these conversations. When I try to duplicate these conversations with people in real life, it almost never works out.

2. Writing Imaginary Emails
I would probably never send these emails. They’re often addressed to famous people. Last night I contemplated writing an email to Heather Armstrong asking her if she’d ever visited www.zefrank.com because I imagined it would be something she would enjoy.

3. Having A Horrible Accident In Which I Bravely Pull Through
Mostly I just imagine the nice things people would say to me when I’m in the hospital with an i.v. sticking out of my arm. Sometimes I’m in a coma for a couple of days and my boyfriend plays the guitar and composes ballads for me in an effort to awaken me from my accursed slumber.

4. Things I Need To Do The Next Day
I bet this is a pretty common one. This often includes things I need to remember to buy at the grocery store or just a list of errands. Usually I end up thinking about an email I need to send or a conversation I would like to have and then I’m right back to #1 or #2.

5. Lists
So I make lists. Lots of lists… my Aunt Becky would call me a “Sister Lister”. I’ll make a list of movies I would like to buy, clothes I need to purchase, books I would like to read or reread. The list goes on… By the time I wake up in the morning all recollection of these lists have faded from memory and are thus rendered useless.

This is wonderful. Truly interestingly put. I am sure that tons of people can relate to the things on your list in one way or another and yet have never given it a thought.
